Where will these tracks lead us ?

South of Frankford, Ric ( 4Runner with a locker) got stuck "playing" in the mud. Proof that keeping forward momentum is of prime importance. A minor hole was made almost impassable in only a few minutes.

P.S. This was the 1st time a Jeep was used ( an anchor ) to get a Toyota out of the mud ( Land Cruiser and 4Runner ).

MAIDEN RUN for Mike's CJ .... led to it getting stuck in a major way. After experiencing transmission trouble 500 ft out in a swamp, he almost winched the CJ out before the Warn 9000 lb. winch gave up ... 500 feet later.

Oh the humiation ... being pulled out by a Ford !!. Well it did have 42" treads. But at least Mike says it was good old American iron, not Japanese metalurgy !

Brighton Monster Garage is at work again.

The embarassed Jeep and its owner are in the background.

Notice the Stock treads.
.

Every truck needs a "name". On its first 2 adventures ... at needed help.

Sounds like a beached "Beluga" whale. This time the mechanical clutch rod kept popping off leaving Mike without the ability to shift. Only a 5 minute repair each of the 5 times meant we headed home early.

Please not the winch cable ( attached to the ... yes 4Runner). I had to release the pressure on the gears so the Mike could put it into neutral and the 4Runner ease the CJ down the hill.

Mike is going to install a hydraulic clutch. His winch was replaced by Princess Auto due to water seeping into the housing and wiring.

Ric's 4Runner to the left just about to get majorly stuck.

Notice the scowl !

Bud in the 92 YJ running into Lingham Nov. 28/04. Nice run but the river was too high to cross.

Too high for the stock YJ. The 4Runner "might" make it but if not who would pull it out. Where is Curtis?

.Now the winch comes out ... next year a front locker !

Ric (4Runner) and Bud (YJ ) crossing the river on the way from Lingham.

This is the Bud "mieister". Newly into offroading there appears no limits as to where this guy and his son James are headed
